A welcome from Denise: I want to first congratulate you on taking the next steps toward your healing journey! My goal is to create a safe space for you to be able to work toward achieving your mental wellness goals. My approach to counseling is holistic and collaborative. I’ll use evidence-based techniques that are uniquely tailored for you, as we explore the impact of your lived experiences. The areas in which I specialize include trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, and women’s issues.
I have a long-time passion and extensive experience working with adult women who have experienced trauma; helping them to heal from those traumas and improve their feelings of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, low self-worth, and self-acceptance. I have organized a series of seasonal therapeutic writing workshops for women beginning in 2017. Through those workshops, I curated a space for healing through mindfulness, transparency, and writing. During my workshops, we broached topics of healing, relationships, trauma, grief, and love.
It is my belief that healing takes place within a safe and nonjudgmental environment filled with compassion and genuineness. My hope is that if my approach resonates with you, you will be in touch.
